Essential Software: HTML To BBCode

When I was setting up my forum, I ran into an interesting problem, one that I had not anticipated, being so used to format interoperability with the various software and services that I have used in the past.  These days open standards such as HTML are taken for granted as being compatible with all sorts of software.  So, I was surprised to find that my Bulletin Board/Forum software didn’t support HTML.  Guess what?  I had a whole lot of HTML-rich content from my blog that I wanted replicated to my membership forum.  Instead, with my phpBB3 host, I had to settle for BBCode or plain text.  I must say that I am new to the world of forum software.  But this didn’t stop me from looking for a solution to the problem.
